Head of Web (Senior Software Engineer)

A rapidly scaling health-tech organisation (Series A funded) is seeking an exceptional Head of Web to lead the architecture, development, and future direction of its core web platform.

If you’re a deeply experienced React + TypeScript engineer who wants to build technology that directly shapes how clinicians make decisions at the point of care - this role will excite you.

The Opportunity

You will own the entire web ecosystem - setting engineering best practice, leading platform direction, and working alongside a team of clinician-engineers building the next generation of AI-powered clinical knowledge tools.

This isn’t a large corporate environment. You’ll have full autonomy, influence, and the ability to make engineering decisions that impact healthcare professionals globally.

What You’ll Do

Own web architecture, development, and deployment
Lead development using React + TypeScript
Improve reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Drive technical roadmap and best practices (testing, CI/CD, security)
Collaborate closely across mobile, backend, and product teams
Mentor engineers and help shape a world-class engineering culture

What You’ll Bring

5+ years’ professional software engineering experience
Deep expertise with React + TypeScript
Proven ownership of complex production web applications
Strong architectural and design understanding
Excellent problem-solving and code quality standards

Desirable: AWS, GraphQL, Tailwind, healthcare/regulated environments, security standards (HIPAA/GDPR/NHS DTAC).
