On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Senior WordPress/PHP Developer (Inside IR35) for a 4 Month contract-based Hybrid/ in UK wide.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

As a Senior WordPress/PHP Developer, your main responsibilities will be:

The developer will be joining the Central Digital Website Builder team. There are several WordPress products (for example the Intranet) that require developer expertise in the areas of writing code to deliver enhanced functionality as well as maintenance and addressing legacy code.

Essential:
* Expert knowledge of WordPress and PHP programming languages, including front-end technologies such as CSS/HTML and JavaScript
* Collaboration with internal teams to design, create and maintain software
* Creating documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
* Working on pre-existing codebases
* Improving the resilience and stability of software
* Applying practices to enable continuous delivery

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
