Job Title: Google Workspace SME

Location: Sheffield/London- 3Days/week Onsite

Duration: 6months+ Contract Inside IR35

Overview:

The client wants to set up a backup for their current Microsoft 365 environment and migrate to Google Workspace. They need an expert who understands both platforms and can manage a smooth, secure transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess the current M365 setup (email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, security policies).
Design and implement backup / data protection strategy for M365 before migration.
Plan and execute migration from M365 to Google Workspace (Mail, Drive, Chat, Calendars).
Configure and manage Google Workspace admin console, including users, groups, security, and policies.
Handle data transfer, coexistence, and troubleshooting during migration.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance as per banking standards.
Work closely with internal IT teams and vendors to ensure a seamless transition.
Provide documentation, user guidance, and post-migration support.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration.
Deep understanding of M365 (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams).
Experience using migration tools (BitTitan, Google Workspace Migration Tool, CloudM, etc.).
Knowledge of identity management – Azure AD / Google Identity / SSO.
Strong understanding of security, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance (banking/financial domain preferred).
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience working with large enterprise or banking clients.
Certifications (Google Workspace Admin, Microsoft 365).
Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
