One of North America's largest retailers is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 3-month contract. This role is critical in supporting an Ariba procurement system implementation project, ensuring smooth adoption by business stakeholders while managing high-volume transactional work. You will play a key role in processing purchase orders, tracking expenses, reconciling invoices, and providing hands-on support to stakeholders as they transition to the new procurement tool integrated with SAP. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for accuracy and efficiency.

Must haves

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to open purchase orders (POs), track expenses, and locate invoices.

- Support the business during the Ariba procurement tool rollout, ensuring seamless integration with SAP.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide on-site assistance during the transition.

- Utilize Excel and SAP to pull invoice documents, manage large data sets, and perform reconciliations.

- Handle high-volume accounting tasks with precision and attention to detail.

Plusses

- 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), or general Accounting.

- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactional work.

- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with large data sets.

- Comfortable working 3 days per week onsite in North Vancouver.
