As a Data Analyst apprentice (DAA26) at BBC Studios, you’ll join a a dynamic, collaborative team where you’re learning goes far beyond the basics. You’ll work on meaningful projects that shape the BBC’s future, while developing cutting-edge skills in areas like machine learning, data visualisation, and ethical data use. With a culture that values growth, creativity, and real-world impact, you’ll gain both professional confidence and a clear path toward a successful data career. 

In this role you’ll be working in the Data Governance and Privacy team, who help drive the strategy that keeps BBC Studios data secure, compliant, and high-quality. They collaborate across the BBC to make an impact on how data powers decision-making.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

As a Data Analyst apprentice, this is brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute – you will: 

Use SQL code and other tools to implement data quality rules and measures, which can be applied to the data.
Improve soft skills, working with business to assess their needs and improve adoption of data in their respective areas.   
Data Processing with Pandas.
Data Visualisation.
Power BI and Tableau.
Data Science for Business.
Text Mining.
Introduction to Machine Learning.
Time Series Analysis.
Data Privacy, Ethics & Regulations.

You’ll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means you’ll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification from our external Learning Provider. You will be supported with career development, employability training, and networking opportunities to help you take your next step within the BBC or elsewhere in the industry.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:

Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
