Job Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Workflow team, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of high-performance, distributed backend systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on backend developer with deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise-scale applications. You’ll play a key role in scaling and enhancing core services that power a global financial data platform.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks.
Architect and implement microservices and distributed systems emphasizing performance and fault tolerance.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Implement event-driven architectures using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent.
Manage services end-to-end, ensuring reliability, observability, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, architecture sessions, and best practice discussions.
Leverage DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible to automate delivery pipelines.
Optimize data access and storage with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
Stay current on emerging backend technologies to continuously improve system design.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of hands-on Java development (Java 8 or higher) with enterprise-scale systems.
8+ total years of software engineering experience in backend development.
Proven expertise in RESTful API and/or GraphQL service development.
Deep understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and data structures.
Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
Hands-on with MongoDB or similar NoSQL technologies.
Practical experience using containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with build automation tools like Maven or Gradle and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision required.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Exposure to frontend frameworks (ReactJS preferred for end-to-end understanding).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, or event sourcing concepts.
