Your Role and Impact

We have a superb opportunity for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our London ETF Index Equity Portfolio Management team. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of index equity portfolio management of global equity exposures, including the day-to-day management, risk and performance analysis and business process reengineering. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and have the know-how to make it happen - both as Students of the Market as well as Students of Technology!

Your Responsibilities

Investment decision making, including, daily liquidity management, portfolio re-balancing, corporate action analysis, client activity, risk and performance monitoring
Performance and risk management including but not limited to working with our Global Trading teams to navigate rebalances and other large-scale investment events
Help establish portfolio management best practices that can be shared globally
Be a leader in efforts towards building the future state of Portfolio Management by working closely with our technology teams on building robust investment platform with algos and automation efforts
Identify and drive operational improvements that lower risk and increase efficiency across the global teams
Lead sub-team and work closely with the leadership team in providing thought leadership, engage with business partners to promote high quality client solutions, and grow talent
Support client-facing groups in client reporting and analysis on ad-hoc requests

You Have

We’re looking for individuals, from a variety of backgrounds, who have:

Strong technical aptitude in financial markets and technology
Knowledge of both equities and the indexing ecosystem
ETF knowledge and experience is a plus
High levels of self-motivation, intellectual curiosity with strong critical thinking, and a strong work-ethic
The desire to make an impact
Outstanding people leadership and culture-building skills, encouraging a high-energy, high-achievement culture balanced with respect and empathy

Skills/Qualifications

The aptitudes we look for include:

Impeccable attention to detail and accountability, with robust organisational and project management capabilities.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Demonstrates a proactive approach and a solutions-oriented mindset, consistently anticipating needs and delivering effective outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Strong technical proficiency, including hands-on experience with data tools and programming languages (preferably in Python; familiarity with APIs, automation, and scripting is a plus) and a deep interest in technology solutions related to portfolio management, trading, and data analytics.
Experience in the investment industry or portfolio management (10+ years), with a solid understanding of financial instruments and derivatives.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead, navigate the firm and influence colleagues. Effective team player who is accustomed to working with global, regional and local stakeholders, cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and investment teams.
People management experience is preferred
