Velocity Tech have partnered with a large InsurTech business who are looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to help with a project. This is a contract role for an initial 6 month period live Inside IR35.

They are based in London and working hybrid, 3 days onsite 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into clear data product requirements.
Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance standards are embedded across all deliverables.
Lead sprint planning sessions and actively engage in Agile ceremonies to ensure smooth delivery.
Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and dependencies.

Experience & Skills Required

Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally within data or analytics-driven environments.
Strong understanding of data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or regulatory data reporting highly desirable.
Previous experience in London Markets, insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is a strong advantage.
