Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Physicochemical Characterization Specialist to join our R&D team within the Healthcare division. You will play a key role in exploring, analyzing, and optimizing materials used in our products, contributing to the advancement of current technologies and the development of new ones.
Your Responsibilities
Research & State of the Art Exploration
Review and analyze scientific literature and technical documents aligned with Linxens' R&D strategy.
Collaborate with internal and external experts, suppliers, and competitors to gather key insights.
Provide actionable recommendations to R&D management to drive innovation and partnerships.
Technological Feasibility & Product Development
Investigate and qualify new materials such as polymers, metals, and conductive inks using advanced techniques (DSC, FTIR, rheometry, DMA, mechanical testing).
Compare material properties against product specifications and ensure data integrity.
Supervise technicians, ensuring protocol adherence and project objectives.
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation in English and French.
Facilitate problem-solving and risk assessment through team collaboration.
Management & Collaboration
Serve as the primary technical resource, providing scientific guidance and support to the technicians.
Collaborate closely with R&D, purchasing, production, quality, and external partners to support product development.
Your Profile
Master’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field; PhD is a strong plus.
At least 3 years of experience in material characterization and product development.
Proficient in IR, DSC, DMA, rheology, and mechanical testing; skilled in DOE (Design of Experiment) and scientific data analysis.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
Fluent in English and French; adaptable and results-oriented with a customer-focused approach.
