Our client is seeking a

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Services Design Lead responsible for 3D modeling, design drawing, and layout of mechanical systems with leadership of design areas, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Must Have skills

3D model development and review using platforms like SmartPlant or equivalent
2D CAD drafting of advanced complexity
Application of industry codes and project drawing standards
Experience reviewing vendor documentation and resolving discrepancies
Strong understanding of bulk material take-off and analysis
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

Nice to have skills

Practical field experience
Knowledge of commercial material availability and costs
Intermediate MS Office and presentation software skills
Experience working under compressed work schedules
Familiarity with AI-supported recruiting systems
Knowledge of local, state/province, and federal/national regulations

Responsibilities

Create and review 3D mechanical service models of moderate to advanced complexity
Perform 2D CAD drafting tasks, adhering to project-specific drawing standards
Review and ensure compliance of drawings and vendor documentation across disciplines
Conduct bulk material take-offs and prepare analysis tabulations
Lead or support design areas, coordinating activities within and across teams
Apply relevant codes, standards, and best practices in all deliverables
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical discrepancies
Maintain attention to detail and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
