Internships @ Wealthsimple
At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth, provides mentorship, and connects you to the broader Wealthsimple community!
Our internship program follows a hybrid work model, where you’ll be working from our Toronto headquarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This structure offers the flexibility of remote work, while also providing the collaboration, connection, and mentorship that come from being together in person.

Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date
Available to work full-time hours
Residing in Canada
Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays
About the CX Operations Team: The CX Operations (CXO) team is responsible for enabling exceptional client and agent experiences across Wealthsimple through optimized systems, content, AI solutions, and strategic initiatives. We manage the technology, knowledge, and processes that power our customer experience organization, driving continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. Within that team, the AI Experiences team is responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, performance, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions within CXO. We partner with teams across the organization to identify opportunities to enhance both our workflows and client experience with AI tool implementations
About the AI Experience Intern Role: As an AI Experience Intern, you will partner with internal SMEs to drive our client-facing AI solutions forward that deliver measurable improvements in containment & resolution time, and aim to elevate client experience. You will develop expertise in AI chatbot optimization, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration while directly contributing to measurable improvements in client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead AI chatbot performance optimization initiatives, including accuracy improvements, user satisfaction enhancements, and conversational flow refinements
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Workflow Optimization and vendor teams to integrate AI tools with CXO systems (Zendesk, Five9) and ensure seamless functionality across platforms
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI initiatives, translating user feedback into actionable improvements and strategic recommendations
Support the identification and implementation of new AI use cases that benefit CXO operations and client experience
What you'll bring:
Strong analytical skills with experience in performance monitoring, data analysis, and translating insights into strategic recommendations
Technical aptitude for AI tools and customer operations platforms, with eagerness to learn emerging technologies in conversational AI
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and vendor teams
Bias toward experimentation and continuous improvement, with ability to foster a culture of innovation within cross-functional teams
Interest in staying current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging AI technologies
