Business Analyst – Information Management (Hybrid, Bristol)

Rate: £400/day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Bristol (Hybrid – typically 2 days/week on-site; flexibility required)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for Information Management to support one of the most exciting and challenging projects within a leading end-client in the energy sector.

You will join a cross-disciplinary Digital & IT team, working closely with Project Managers, Information Architects, Data Engineers and business insight specialists. Your role will ensure business needs are accurately understood, translated into information requirements, and effectively communicated to enable high-quality delivery across the organisation.

Some phases of delivery may require increased on-site presence (up to 5 days per week) or occasional travel to London to support critical business milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Support business stakeholders in defining their information goals and requirements.
Ensure the right data is available in the right tools at the right time.
Analyse, document and validate information flows, identifying potential issues such as data quality or information sensitivity.
Collaborate with Business Architects to translate business needs into information requirements, raising any potential gaps.
Work with project teams and stakeholders to validate requirements and address key business challenges.
Partner with Information Architects to share analysis outputs and wider learnings.
Manage a portfolio of multiple projects, typically 2–4 per month, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and Digital teams, guiding stakeholders to relevant Information Management services.
Support development of Information Management tools, processes and procedures.
Assist in creating communication and guidance materials to build awareness and understanding of Information Management across the organisation.

About You

Minimum of 3 years’ enterprise-level business analysis experience and at least 5 years’ experience across digital systems development life cycles.
Experience in one or more Information Management disciplines, such as Information Architecture, Information Analysis, Master Data Management, Data Administration or Database System Development (highly desirable).
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferred.
Able to translate business needs into comprehensive information requirements to support key project decisions.
Proven experience engaging stakeholders across multiple disciplines and seniority levels.
Strong collaborator within cross-functional analysis and architecture teams.
Demonstrates ownership of workload, delivers to deadlines and adapts to changing project needs.
Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Visio to create clear flows, diagrams and visual documentation.
