About the Role

We are looking for an experienced React UI Developer to join our client’s Frontend Engineering team in London. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with React 18, TypeScript, and modern UI development practices, building high-performance data-driven applications for financial and trading environments.

This is a long-term hybrid contract role (3 days onsite in Canary Wharf) with opportunities for extension and involvement in cutting-edge carbon credit and trading dashboard projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop responsive and dynamic web applications using React 18 and TypeScript

Build interactive UIs and dashboards using AG Grid Enterprise or other third-party libraries (DevExpress, Telerik)

Implement authentication and authorization with Azure MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library)

Integrate RESTful APIs using Axios and OpenAPI (Orval) generated clients

Implement real-time communication using SignalR for live trading updates

Ensure applications are responsive, accessible, and meet WCAG standards

Maintain high-quality code, write unit tests (Jest, React Testing Library), and follow Git-based workflows

Collaborate with backend teams and UX designers to deliver consistent and scalable UI solutions

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of frontend development experience

Strong proficiency with React (v18+), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+)

Experience with Vite (or Webpack / Parcel) build tools

Strong knowledge of SCSS/Sass and responsive design

Experience integrating REST APIs and handling complex data flows

Hands-on experience with Azure AD / MSAL authentication

Familiarity with data grid frameworks (AG Grid, DevExpress, or similar)

Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)

Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
