Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Business Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting software development initiatives within a research-focused product development group. This role will be instrumental in driving agile delivery, refining requirements, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product owners and subject matter experts to define user stories, estimate effort, and manage backlog items.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder check-ins.
Maintain and update project documentation including burn-up charts, timelines, and risk assessments.
Conduct business process mapping using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Mural, or Microsoft Whiteboard.
Create wireframes and mockups using platforms like Lucidchart, Balsamiq, or Figma.
Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements, including business rules and system dependencies.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve blockers and ensure timely delivery.
Design and execute test cases to validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Utilize SQL for data validation and test result analysis.
Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Proficiency in backlog management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
Experience with collaboration platforms including Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
Wireframing experience using Balsamiq, Lucidchart, Figma, or Sketch
Basic SQL skills for querying and data validation
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
Expertise in process mapping tools (Visio or Lucidchart preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and decision-making skills
