Job Specifications

For one of our clients at the European Commission, we are seeking a talented and experienced Drupal Developer to join a major digital transformation initiative focused on the complete redevelopment of a large-scale web application. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of a modern, scalable solution built on Drupal, working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain a robust web application using Drupal 9/10.
Create custom modules, themes, and reusable components that support performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Collaborate closely with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Integrate the Drupal platform with external APIs and third-party services.
Conduct code reviews, testing, and performance optimization to ensure the highest quality standards.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards and development processes.
Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven professional experience in Drupal development, including building applications from scratch.
In-depth knowledge of Drupal architecture, custom module development, theming, and site building.
Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
Experience with API integration (REST, JSON, SOAP) and Drupal's service-oriented architecture.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems, CI/CD tools, and modern DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of web security principles, access control, and performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setup.
Prior experience working on large-scale enterprise or public sector projects is a strong plus.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
