About Selfin

Selfin is a stealth fintech startup building the first AI bank backed by Y Combinator. Team formed by students from MIT, Stanford, and Imperial, with experience at NASA, Bank of America, BCG, Bloomberg, Rolls-Royce and Revolut. Now we’re looking for people bold enough to build something crazy from scratch — and smart enough to do it right.

About The Role

We’re now looking for highly motivated Software Founding Engineers to join us in San Francisco and build core parts of the product across AI, backend, and frontend.

Responsibilities

AI/LLM: LLM training (o4/5, claude), prompt engineering, fine-tuning
Backend: Python, Cloud infrastructure (GC), API integration
Frontend: Swift (iOS), Flutter, HTML, CSS, Java Script
Help design secure, scalable systems for financial data
Work directly with the founders and shape product and tech direction
Move fast and independently—this is not a narrow role

Qualifications

Bacherlor, Master or PHD in Computer Science or related engineering degree from a top university
Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LLMs or GenAI tools
Willing to work onsite in San Francisco or London (we sponsor US/UK visas)
Bonus points for: hackathons, publications, side projects, startup experience
People that are excited to own real responsibility from day one

Compensation

>$100K salary (depending on skills and experience)+ equity
US/UK visa sponsorship
