12 month contract
Hybrid - 3 days per week on site, Brussels
We're looking for an experienced System Engineer - SAP Basis Consultant
You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising SAP systems, ensuring technical stability, performance, and compliance across business-critical applications.
The team manages the technical layer of enterprise applications, focusing on SAP Basis Components (SAP BC) and integrations - essential to the smooth running of business operations.
Your Responsibilities
Design, build, and configure SAP application environments
Perform SAP system copies, refreshes, and upgrades
Install and configure SAP systems, add-ons, and integrations (IDOC, Web Services)
Set up batch jobs, backups, and high-availability solutions
Monitor system performance and carry out root cause analysis
Configure Solution Manager for centralised management
Support project teams with SAP Basis best practices
Manage roles and authorisations
Handle logging, archiving, and operational monitoring
Participate in incident and problem management (2nd line)
Provide training, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Experience:
5+ years in SAP Basis Administration
5+ years managing SAP Roles & Authorizations
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA
Qualifications & Skills:
Fluent in either French or Dutch
Good command of English
