Daily rate - £700 inside IR35

About the Role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to drive the development of cutting-edge digital services that are simpler, clearer, and faster - and that meet real user needs.
You'll play a central role in a high-profile AI Customer Experience programme, shaping the future of how people interact with public services. This work will harness the latest AI capabilities to radically improve the customer experience across government.
You'll also contribute to a wider AI Adoption Programme, supporting departments to pilot and scale innovative AI solutions - ensuring they are integrated safely, securely, and responsibly.What You'll Do
As Lead Product Manager, you will:
Own and articulate a clear product vision, proposition, and roadmap
Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver and continuously improve digital products
Balance support and innovation to ensure products remain robust, secure, and user-focused
Collaborate with delivery managers to define team needs and resources
Engage with users, stakeholders, and suppliers to shape product direction
Coordinate with other programmes and teams to align delivery
Stay informed on emerging technologies, especially in AI and cloud-based services
Mentor and develop other product managers within the organisation
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who have experience in:
Leading high-volume digital products through discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement
Working in agile, multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments
Managing complex technology ecosystems and understanding cloud-based software delivery
Communicating effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders
Developing product and commercial strategies to secure buy-in and funding
Navigating public sector environments, including procurement and spend controls
Coaching and mentoring product managers and building high-performing teams
