Senior Technical Delivery Manager (.NET, Azure, DevOps)

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Delivery Manager/Business Relationship Manager to guide our software delivery and champion the adoption of modern cloud-native practices. This is a pivotal leadership role for a technical expert who thrives on mentoring teams, guiding architecture, and delivering complex software solutions from end-to-end.

This hybrid role is ideal for a former senior developer who has transitioned into leadership but retains a deep passion for technology. You will be a key contact for stakeholders, accountable for developing, leading, and overseeing delivery teams in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility is the end-to-end, outcome-based delivery of software products. You will provide essential technical leadership and guidance to ensure we maintain high performance and reliability standards. While this is not a hands-on coding role, your strong development background in the .NET ecosystem is crucial. You will be expected to conduct code reviews, collaborate closely with engineering and architecture teams to identify optimal technical solutions, and help define implementation methods.

You will lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, including both in-house and offshore partners. This position begins with managing indirect reports, with a clear and defined goal of progressing toward formal people management, which will include mentorship, conducting performance reviews, and supporting individual career growth.

As a strategic leader, you will help transition the organization from a project-based mindset to a dynamic, product-focused approach. You will define and execute strategies to minimize technical debt and lead the transition from legacy systems to modern, efficient technology platforms on Microsoft Azure. This includes evaluating costs, managing resources, and proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.

As the primary point of contact for stakeholders, you will manage all initiative updates, communicating progress, risks, and key decisions to ensure alignment. You will foster a strong customer-first mindset, coordinate efforts across product management and UX design, and oversee any external vendor contributions to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must bring 10-12+ years of total IT experience, with a strong foundation of 5-10+ years in .NET development. This is complemented by 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, along with 2-4+ years working with Docker and Kubernetes.

Critically, you have a proven track record of 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional engineering teams and at least 5+ years in end-to-end technical project delivery. You possess strong skills in Agile methodologies, risk and issue management, financial budgeting, and scope management.

You must have hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and a history of successfully transitioning legacy systems. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is required. Experience in a product-focused company or in managing offshore teams would be a significant asset.
