Job Description:
GliaCell is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work on a Python software development team tasked with migrating data between two systems.
The source system data will be manipulated to meet the target system's data structure
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
U.S. Citizenship
Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Works well independently as well as on a team.
Strong communication skills.
Key Skills:
Experience with Python Development, Git, Databases, and JIRA
Experience or familiarity with Docker Containers, APIs, NiFi, and Data Structures (SQL, noSQL, etc)
Familiarity with Extract Transfer Load (ETL), and Python flask
Additional Duties:
Candidate will perform documentation to support architecture development, design, testing, and documentation of software at the component level
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD area
Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $160,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process.
