Position: Business Intelligence Developer

Start Date: November 3, 2025

End Date: April 17, 2026

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM, 37.5 hours/week

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support ongoing reporting and data integration efforts within a corporate analytics and AI team. This role focuses on building and maintaining SQL queries, reports, and dashboards using Human Resources data. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior developer with technical skills in SQL, SSRS, and Power BI to gain hands-on experience in a corporate setting, including exposure to HR data analytics and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SQL queries to support HR reporting needs
Build and update SSRS and Power BI reports based on business requirements
Participate in stakeholder meetings, testing sessions, and documentation
Translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables
Perform data integration and transformation using ETL techniques and tools
Ensure data accuracy, performance, and report quality through validation and testing

Must-Have Skills

Proficiency in MS SQL (writing, optimizing queries)
Experience with SSRS and/or Power BI reporting, ideally using HR data
Understanding of data integration processes and ETL workflows

Nice-to-Have Skills

General computer and technical literacy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with flowcharting or process mapping tools

Candidate Profile

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
0-2 years of relevant experience in BI development, data analytics, or reporting
Experience with HR data is considered an asset
