Software Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, Azure) | Glasgow (5 days per week, fully on-site) | PS550-PS650 per day (Inside IR35) | 6 months (with strong potential for extension)

A long-standing consultancy partner of ours is looking for Software Engineers support a major banking client in Glasgow. This is a hands-on development role within a fast paced environment , ideal for engineers who do well in building scalable systems within financial services.

Please note: No sponsorship is available for this role. Applicants must hold valid Right to Work in the UK.

Experience in the banking sector is key!

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (Spring Boot) and microservices architecture.
Build, deploy, and manage solutions within Microsoft Azure, particularly App Services.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Contribute to infrastructure automation and provisioning with Terraform.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and delivery teams in a financial services context to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality software delivery.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot development, ideally within microservices environments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services preferred).
Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
Strong understanding of CI/CD automation, particularly with Jenkins.
Prior experience delivering within financial services or other regulated sectors.
Comfortable working fully on-site in Glasgow within a collaborative consultancy environment.
Must hold valid Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
