Job Specifications
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the implementation of a new Central FX Position Management system. This strategic initiative forms part of a wider programme to enhance FX exposure management across Trading and Group Treasury, leveraging Endur and 360T alongside robust monitoring and control frameworks.
This consultancy engagement offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of trading, treasury, and technology, playing a pivotal role in the delivery and business transition of a high-impact system within a global commodities trading environment.
About the Project
The Central FX Position Management Implementation Project is a collaboration between Trading and Group Treasury designed to address operational risks, improve exposure measurement, increase automation, and refine management practices. These improvements aim to reduce trading costs, enhance transparency, and enable traders to focus on core commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
Represent business stakeholder requirements within the project, maintaining alignment with the project sponsor and strategic objectives
Ensure the solution delivers measurable business value and supports long-term operational excellence
Provide business context to support feasibility assessments, testing activities, and solution validation
Align product strategy with implementation, ensuring coherence between business and IT perspectives
Partner with internal teams and external providers across all phases: prioritisation, specification, design, build, test, release, early life support, and handover
Monitor project milestones, report on budgets, and coordinate a structured handover to operations post go-live
Facilitate communication between business and IT, ensuring that strategic considerations are embedded in solution design and execution
Functional and Technical Expertise
Specify change requirements for Endur FX modelling and validate readiness for go-live based on acceptance criteria
Provide expert advice on FX exposure determination within ETRMs and related methodologies
Conduct quantitative analyses to inform design and decision-making
Design and execute test cases and test cycles, including coordination of user acceptance testing
Develop FX hedging guidelines for Treasury, including limit frameworks
Support dual operating models through phased implementation across trading desks
Enable a seamless transition from project mode to business-as-usual operations
Agile Practices and Collaboration
Contribute expertise within agile frameworks, participating in planning sessions, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where appropriate
Collaborate effectively with other external service providers, ensuring coordinated delivery without integration into the client's organisational structure
Advise on team practices such as Definition of Done, Definition of Ready, and quality assurance standards
Strategic Communication and Governance
Engage proactively with senior management and key stakeholders to align on priorities, budgets, and delivery strategies
Lead steering committees and workshops in an advisory capacity
Provide guidance on reporting, control, and transformation topics within a scaled environment
Technical Environment
FX front-to-end landscape: Endur, Coral, SAP TRM, 360T/iTEX
Cloud and data platforms: AWS, Snowflake, Kafka
Contract Details
Service period: 1 November 2025 - 30 April 2026 (with potential for extension)
Location: Hybrid, with a mix of remote work and on-site presence in London
