Fraud Strategy and Data Specialist

London (hybrid/travel required)

Inside IR35 - Rate DOE

We need someone who can challenge the data, find the quick wins, and keep fraud initiatives moving while everything else is pulling in different directions.

You'll be embedded in a large-scale transformation programme where fraud prevention sits at the intersection of competing priorities, technical debt, and ambitious timelines. Your job is to cut through it.

What you'll be doing:

Evaluating whether the right KPIs are being used to monitor fraud trends.
Challenging forecasting models especially around net loss
Pushing for automation and operational improvements. Making sure data integrity doesn't get compromised during technical development cycles.
You'll work across finance, tech, and product to align fraud strategy with budget realities. Drive governance that actually enables decisions rather than creates bottlenecks. Support upskilling across fraud and risk teams.
Focus particularly on F2P and non-card A2A payments fraud where threats are evolving faster than most organisations can keep up.

What you'll need:

Solid fraud strategy or risk analytics background in financial services ideally payments or digital banking
Experience challenging existing fraud models and forecasting assumptions with data-led insights
Strong understanding of Open Banking, APP scams, phishing, and authentication technologies
Proven track record addressing fraud in A2A and F2P payment environments
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving transformation programmes
