Pax8 are on the lookout for a Payroll Specialist who thrives on adrenaline and precision! If you're a payroll pro with a passion for perfection, this is your moment to shine!
You'll be based in the UK (our main offices are in Bristol and Farnborough, but you can work from home most of the time -- just one day a week in the office is plenty).
This is a 6 month fixed-term contract, but it's a role packed with opportunity: you'll gain international exposure, sharpen your expertise, and play a key role in keeping our payroll operations smooth, compliant, and future-ready. As our Payroll Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in making sure our employees are paid correctly and on time across multiple EMEA markets, with the main focus on UK and the Baltics region. From calculating wages, benefits, and deductions to ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, you'll be the trusted expert we rely on.
But this role is about more than processing payroll. You'll collaborate with our People and Finance teams to improve systems, generate accurate reports, and keep our processes compliant and efficient. You'll also have the chance to shape payroll policies and stay up to date with changing legislation -- becoming the go-to payroll advisor for the business.

Here's How Your Day Would Look Like
Prepare and process employee data for payroll
Verify data input into our HRIS database and other related systems
Respond to employee queries on payroll related policies and procedures
Liaise with benefits providers to ensure all employees are enrolled in the necessary benefits programmes.
In addition, you will have 10% of your time dedicated for driving your own personal development agenda.
What You Bring To The Table
Reasonable experience of payroll processing of at least 3 years
Understanding of relevant laws and legislation related to payroll, ideally in several EMEA markets
Strong reporting skills using Microsoft Excel, using large amount of data
Ability to work at a fast pace with accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to grasp complex ideas and change direction quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Dutch or German language proficiency would be highly beneficial
