About the Role
The Head of IT leads enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, and digital services to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions. This role develops a unified digital transformation roadmap, integrates enterprise systems, drives automation initiatives, and supports organizational change to improve operational efficiency, collaboration, and user experience across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Enterprise Operations & Infrastructure
Standardize operational KPIs, processes, and SLAs across business units.
Build and maintain resilient infrastructure, including cloud operations, business continuity (BCP), and disaster recovery (DR) systems.
Ensure infrastructure scalability to support business growth and M&A integrations.
Assist in auditing existing business processes and provide recommendations for areas suitable for transformation.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Develop risk and compliance control frameworks (SOX, ISO, NIST).
Lead enterprise cybersecurity programs, threat monitoring, and data protection initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, privacy, and security standards.
Digital Transformation & Automation
Develop a unified digital transformation roadmap encompassing cloud, SaaS, experience, and automation initiatives.
Integrate enterprise platforms to enable consistent reporting, data visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
Implement RPA and low-code tools to automate repetitive workflows and reduce manual effort.
Help implement and track initiative progress across scope, timing, and outcomes using collaborative tools.
Support the development of KPIs, dashboards, and other metrics to monitor project success and identify areas for improvement.
Digital Experience & Innovation
Enhance digital experiences through user-centric design and customer journey optimization.
Establish UX/UI design systems, A/B testing infrastructure, and cross-platform consistency standards.
Contribute to internal communications, process documentation, and training material for end users adopting new systems or workflows.
Partner with business units to deliver seamless digital tools that improve employee productivity and customer engagement.
Vendor & Financial Management
Implement centralized vendor and procurement oversight with performance scorecards.
Drive cost optimization initiatives through shared services and lean operations.
Manage IT budgets and ensure technology investments deliver measurable ROI.
Leadership & Collaboration
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT and digital services team.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and support alignment efforts across business units.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams to align IT priorities with enterprise objectives.
Partner with portfolio company IT teams to scale shared solutions and best practices.
Strategic Impact & Organizational Influence
Serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing input on technology strategy and organizational initiatives.
Influence enterprise-wide decision-making, including M&A technology integrations, long-term planning, and innovation adoption.
Align IT initiatives with corporate objectives to drive measurable business outcomes and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including enterprise operations, infrastructure, and digital services. Ideally, have been a Head of IT or above before (CTO, CIO)
Proven success in delivering digital transformation, automation, and user experience improvements.
Expertise in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, UX/UI design systems, and enterprise platform integration.
Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, continuous improvement (Agile/Lean/Six Sigma) and change leadership.
