Contract Data Analyst - 3 Months (Strong Likelihood to Extend/Convert) | Outside IR35

Remote / London - Some Office requirements throughout

PS350 - PS375 per day

Burns Sheehan are working with a business looking for a Contract Data Analyst to work alongside a Data Scientist, helping turn data into actionable insights that inform product enhancements and new data-led initiatives. This is an insight-focused role rather than a reporting-heavy position, so strong technical and analytical skills are essential.

You'll be responsible for:

Assessing, profiling, and QA'ing datasets to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities
Partnering with the Data Scientist to surface actionable insights
Translating business questions into analytical work and presenting clear data "stories" to stakeholders
Collaborating with BI, Product, and Data Engineering teams to influence product and business decisions

What we're looking for:

Excellent SQL and strong Excel skills
Intermediate Python experience; exposure to MS BI stack is a plus
Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and manage stakeholders effectively
Broad analytical experience, comfortable bridging technical and product conversations
Commercial awareness with an understanding of monetisation and ROI of insights
Curious, proactive, and able to propose new angles or untapped opportunities
Nice-to-have: Databricks experience, familiarity with Cosmos DB, Power BI for ad-hoc visualisation
