Typical Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex, cross-functional technical programs/projects through all phases: planning, execution, delivery and post-production.
* Translate business goals/requirements into technical deliverables; work with Product Managers / Business leads to define scope, priorities, roadmaps.
* Define, refine, and maintain program schedules, dependencies across teams, risk management, escalation paths.
* Work closely with engineering teams, architects, QA, operations to ensure smooth delivery. Be familiar with Java, frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), service-oriented architecture or microservices.
* Oversees backlog grooming, user story/acceptance criteria definitions, ensuring clarity on functional & non-functional requirements.
* Ensure high quality of deliverables: perform review, sign-off, possibly demo sessions.
* Stakeholder management: multiple geographies, cross-team coordination, business owners, product, infrastructure, security, etc.
* Track metrics, monitor progress, manage risks, report status to senior leadership.

Key Qualifications & Skills
* Strong technical background in Java; familiarity with Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate) and often messaging/middleware technologies (Kafka, JMS, etc.).
* Knowledge of service-oriented architectures, APIs, microservices.
* Solid experience in Agile / SAFe methodologies; able to work with distributed teams.
* Experience with backlog management, breaking down features into stories, refining requirements.
* Strong communication skills, able to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders across locations.
* Experience or familiarity with payments / financial industry, and relevant security/compliance areas (PCI, PII) is often preferred.
