Job Specifications

Location Address: Downtown Toronto

Hybrid: 3 days in-office (will increase to 4 days in future)

Anchor days: Monday and Tuesday

Contract Duration: 6 months

Possibility of extension: yes, based on performance and business needs

Conversion to FTE: yes, based on performance and business needs

Number of Positions: 1

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Key Accountabilities

- Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications

- An expert technical resource for automation, simulation, analysis and testing efforts

- Leverage industry best practices to automate, test, implement and support a solution

- Analyze and review different options for data integration and provide recommendations on the solution

- Manage the traceability of system requirements through design and development, testing, and deployment; ensure the acceptance criteria demonstrates the changes to systems that will meet stakeholder expectations

- Collaborate to evolve DevOps practices to ensure smooth deployment processes, continuous integration, and delivery

- Create technical system documentation, including process flows, use cases, and technical specifications.

- Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment

- Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Must have skills:

1) 8-10 years of relevant experience required

2) 3-5 years of Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python

3) 5+ years of experience with SQL

4) Experience supporting application databases

5) Experience supporting Linux-based systems

6) 5+ years of experience testing and validating (QA)

7) Experience working with tools like Jira & Confluence.

Nice to have:

1) Prior experience working in banking or financial institutions

2) Previous experience with Risk Management is highly preferred

3) Knowledge of financial instruments

4) Understanding of OFSI processes and requirements

5) Experience working with GCP is preferred

Best VS. Average Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong exp working to technical requirements and leading testing results are highly preferred. Having recent exposure to retail credit risk is a very nice to have.
