Referment is working with a leading global hedge fund who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Equity Technology team. This team builds and supports a world-class suite of tools for their flagship Fundamental Equities business, spanning the entire investment lifecycle, from research and portfolio construction through to trading and compliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to work directly with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technologists to deliver innovative, high-performance solutions that drive real business impact. The successful candidate will be passionate about solving complex problems, building cloud-native applications, and pushing the boundaries at the intersection of finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with portfolio managers, researchers, and technology teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Collaborate in a fast-paced environment to translate business requirements into scalable software.

Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack cloud-native applications (C#, Python, Go, gRPC, React).

Work with data management and analytics platforms such as Snowflake and ClickHouse.

Balance feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market when delivering solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

8+ years' professional software development experience.

Strong expertise in object-oriented programming (C# or Java essential).

Experience with Python, AWS, MSSQL, Snowflake, ClickHouse.

Exposure to finance (particularly equities) strongly preferred.
