**Job Title:** EEG Scientist
**Role Summary:**
Provide scientific and technical leadership for preclinical EEG research, driving study design, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting while expanding and innovating EEG capabilities across the organization.
**Expectations:**
- Execute and deliver high‑quality pharmaco‑EEG studies in rodents (and additional species as needed).
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of EEG methodologies, including sleep, seizure liability, pharmacology, and disease models.
- Maintain rigorous scientific standards, ensuring data integrity and reproducible results.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, run, and analyze EEG experiments in preclinical models, managing animal handling, dosing, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare protocols, coordinate scheduling, collect data, and produce detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot hardware (DSI, EMKA, TaiNi, etc.) and software issues; optimize experimental setups for efficiency and reliability.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on EEG techniques, equipment maintenance, and data interpretation.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with the Senior Scientific Director and other teams, presenting findings and integrating feedback into project plans.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, capacity planning, and documentation standardization across sites.
- Stay abreast of emerging EEG technologies and analytical methods, proposing innovations to enhance service offerings.
**Required Skills:**
- Hands‑on experience in rodent EEG recordings and preclinical data analysis.
- Proficiency with EEG hardware platforms (DSI, EMKA, TaiNi) and analysis software.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and written/ oral communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and deliver training.
- Experience in scientific report writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, physiology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD) preferred.
- Relevant certifications in animal handling, laboratory safety, or EEG procedures are advantageous.
