Job Title: Cyber Security Test Engineer
Role Summary: Senior penetration testing specialist responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on advanced security assessments of Spacelabs products, infrastructure, and solutions. Works independently to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in firmware, operating systems, applications, and medical device contexts.
Expactations: • Deliver high‑quality, actionable penetration test reports. • Maintain up‑to‑date threat intelligence and exploit techniques. • Ensure compliance with ISO 27000, NIST, and medical device regulations. • Actively contribute to security awareness and incident investigation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct realistic penetration tests simulating advanced threat tactics across firmware, OS, and application layers.
- Research emerging threats, develop custom exploits, and evaluate tool applicability.
- Create security assessment plans, document test cases, findings, and remediation recommendations.
- Perform code reviews, integration testing, and defect fixes within the SDLC.
- Provide technical reviews, progress updates, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Support product investigations for security complaints and incidents.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Assembly, C/C++, C#, Java, Python; strong Linux/Windows, database, and web‑server knowledge.
- Experienced with Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus, BurpSuite, Wireshark, JTAG, FPGA, USB hacking.
- Deep understanding of firmware, network protocols, encryption algorithms, OS, and access control models.
- Knowledge of secure coding (OWASP), SDLC, ISO 2700x, NIST, and medical device quality systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities; self‑motivated and adaptable under pressure.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field with 12 + years of experience, **or**
- Master’s degree in a related discipline with 10 + years of experience.
