**Job Title:** Medical Administrator **Role Summary:** Support the Medicine and Emergency Care Division by ensuring timely, accurate submission of a defined data set and by facilitating communication between operational management and clinical specialty teams. Focus on data quality, process efficiency, and interdepartmental collaboration within the Respiratory Services and Lung Cancer Screening Program. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality data reports within established deadlines. - Maintain confidentiality, comply with NHS data protection and quality standards. - Act professionally, uphold code of conduct and continuous learning. - Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, results‑driven approach to workload prioritisation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collect, validate, and submit required data sets to support quality‑focused service delivery. - Coordinate with the operational management team to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting processes. - Interface with clinical specialties and specialty teams to gather information, answer queries, and maintain productive relationships. - Prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment, self‑manage workload and meet deadlines. - Participate in mandatory statutory and internal training programmes. - Engage in the Trust’s appraisal processes: set personal objectives, develop plans, and record performance metrics. - Monitor personal and team competency, encouraging ongoing professional development. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and data‑management abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to liaise with multidisciplinary clinical teams. - Time‑management and prioritisation in a dynamic environment. - Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Awareness of NHS data protection legislation and quality assurance frameworks. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Management or equivalent. - NHS or equivalent training in data protection, confidentiality and secure data handling. - Ongoing professional development and CPD in medical administration or health informatics is preferred. ---
