Job Description
**Job Title:** Interim Demand Planner **Role Summary:** Temporary demand planning professional to support a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) client in Belgium. The role runs from 1 Nov to 31 Jan (possible extension) and requires on‑site presence three days a week. Primary focus is to maintain and improve forecast accuracy across a complex European supply network while collaborating with sales, customers, and logistics partners. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality demand forecasts for the project duration (Nov 1 – Jan 31). - Work on‑site in Ardooie, Belgium, three days per week. - Meet performance targets and demonstrate speed to potentially secure a permanent position. - Communicate fluently in English; additional language skills are advantageous. **Key Responsibilities:** - Generate, review, and maintain demand forecasts using ERP/advanced planning tools (SAP, Anaplan, etc.). - Align forecasts with sales, marketing, and customer input to reflect market realities. - Manage data across multiple 3PLs, production sites, and European sales entities. - Identify and resolve forecast variances; propose corrective actions. - Prioritize planning activities locally and cross‑functionally to support supply chain execution. - Produce regular reporting on forecast accuracy, demand trends, and inventory impacts. **Required Skills:** - ≥5 years experience in demand planning, preferably in FMCG or food. - Strong proficiency with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Anaplan, or similar). - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities in complex, multi‑entity environments. - Commercial acumen and ability to collaborate with sales and customer teams. - Effective communication skills in English; additional languages a plus. - Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) preferred but not mandatory.
