Job title Senior Security Manager (12 Month FTC) Role summary Lead protective security integration for the Location Strategy Project (LSP), ensuring new and repurposed sites in Leeds and London meet bank‑wide security standards and support long‑term resilience. Act as the principal security advisor to senior leadership, coordinating cross‑functional delivery and embedding secure design in all phases of the programme. Expectations - Lead a high‑profile security workstream with a dual reporting line to Head of Security Advisory Services and Head of Design & Workplace. - Deliver secure design, operational, and risk management solutions that align with organisational strategy and risk appetite. - Represent the bank’s security interests in governance, design, and strategic forums, influencing decisions and championing security outcomes. Key responsibilities - Integrate protective security into programme design and delivery, ensuring compliance with bank policies, standards, and risk appetite. - Provide expert advice on physical and personnel security for new and repurposed buildings across Leeds and London. - Own the security workstream: coordinate internal and external stakeholders, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of security outputs. - Represent security in governance forums, design reviews, and strategic planning sessions. - Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and innovative security opportunities. - Critically assess architectural and operational plans, identify risks, and propose proportionate mitigations. - Develop and maintain security artefacts (risk registers, compliance documents, strategic briefs) to inform programme decisions. - Advise on secure information handling, access protocols, and third‑party engagement, including consultants and contractors. - Build and leverage networks across the bank and externally to embed security culture throughout programme delivery. Required skills - Proven subject‑matter expertise in protective security, covering threat assessment, strategic risk management, and application of industry standards. - Strong analytical skills to assess architectural/operational plans and propose risk‑based mitigations. - Excellent stakeholder communication and influence across senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. - Experience coordinating security workstreams in multi‑site programmes. - Proficiency in creating and maintaining security artefacts (risk registers, compliance documentation). - Ability to conduct horizon scanning and adapt security strategy to emerging threats. Required education & certifications - Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in security, facilities management, business, or related field. - Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPP, PSP, SyI, CISMP) or demonstrably equivalent senior‑level security leadership experience.
