Job title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, multi‑cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Leads IaC, containerization, security, monitoring, and cost optimization to support high‑availability, performance, and compliance.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end cloud solutions, mentor junior team members, drive automation and operational excellence, and align cloud initiatives with business priorities. Demonstrate strategic thinking, cross‑platform expertise, and continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement resilient, cost‑effective cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Develop IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, and other tools.
- Lead adoption of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE, ECS, OpenShift).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
- Oversee daily operations: monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog), alerts, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Define and enforce security controls (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001), manage access, and respond to threats.
- Plan and execute backup, disaster recovery, and HA strategies.
- Monitor cloud spend, recommend cost‑saving measures, and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with network engineers, system admins, and developers to integrate cloud services into business workflows.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years cloud engineering or infrastructure experience; 5+ years hands‑on AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Proficient in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE).
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
- Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Cloud security best practices (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
- Hybrid and multi‑cloud strategy expertise.
- Familiarity with serverless (Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions).
- Agile/Scrum experience.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect (or equivalent).
