**Job title:** Azure Administrator (Current SC Required)
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational support of Microsoft Azure resources to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance. Works with architects, developers, and security teams to implement governance, security controls, and cost optimization across the Azure environment.
**Expectations:**
- Maintain Azure infrastructure according to security classification (Current SC).
- Provide L2/L3 support and incident resolution for Azure services.
- Document processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to governance and compliance policies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy and manage Azure VMs, storage, networking, identity services, and backup/disaster recovery solutions.
- Administer Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA, and security controls.
- Configure and maintain VNETs, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, firewalls, load balancers, NSGs, and application gateways.
- Implement Azure Automation, ARM templates, Bicep/Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Monitor system health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights; set up alerts and dashboards.
- Patch, update, and manage compliance of Azure workloads.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce policies.
- Troubleshoot incidents, produce L2/L3 support tickets, and maintain incident records.
- Produce and maintain documentation, guidelines, and SOPs for Azure operations.
**Required Skills:**
- ≥5 years cloud administration experience, ≥3 years Microsoft Azure.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA.
- Expertise in Azure networking (VNETs, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, load balancers).
- Familiarity with Azure Storage, VMs, identity services, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Experience with IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitoring and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Understanding of Azure security, governance, and compliance.
- Troubleshooting, incident management, and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (mandatory).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate (desirable).
- ITIL v4 Foundation (advantageous).
- Ability to complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) & Current Security Clearance.
