**Job Title:** Software Engineer III (Contingent)
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient web applications and APIs within an agile, value‑stream team. Lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and align delivery with business objectives while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code that meets functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Drive architectural choices, champion Domain‑Driven Design and loosely coupled microservices.
- Mentor mid‑level engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate effectively with product, design, platform, and infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to technical documentation, tooling enhancements, and process improvements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement and evolve core application components using Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
- Develop and maintain JSON APIs and microservice architectures.
- Participate in requirements workshops, architecture reviews, and sprint planning.
- Ensure code quality, testing, security, and data modeling standards are applied.
- Introduce new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Align development work with product goals and measurable business value.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and cloud (AWS) environments.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Java (J2EE), Python, JavaScript (React, Node).
- Experience with microservices, event‑driven architectures, and JSON API design.
- Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, MySQL, Elasticsearch, GitHub, JIRA.
- Ability to apply Domain‑Driven Design and modular software architecture.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
- Proven mentorship and collaborative communication skills; fluent English.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent (required).
- Master of Science in Computer Science (preferred).
