Job title: Senior Software Engineer
Role Summary: Lead architect and developer in a fully remote, fast‑moving startup, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core platform components. Deliver production‑grade Go and React code, mentor peers, and drive engineering excellence while ensuring rapid, secure, scalable deployments in a serverless AWS environment.
Expectations:
- Operate as a senior team member with 2+ years of startup experience and a strong backend focus.
- Own end‑to‑end service delivery: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure services and APIs using Go, React, and AWS serverless tools (Lambda, SNS, SQS, Cognito).
- Own domain‑specific services from architectural design through production monitoring and root‑cause analysis.
- Translate product strategy and user needs into technical roadmaps in collaboration with product and operations teams.
- Champion engineering best practices: clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance via code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years’ senior software engineering experience in a startup or high‑growth environment.
- Deep expertise in Go, including building RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, EC2, Cognito, CloudWatch) and event‑driven design.
- Proficient with PostgreSQL, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of modern AI‑powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and willingness to use them daily.
- Product‑oriented mindset with emphasis on solving real customer problems.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaborative skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
