Job Title: Senior VDI Engineer
Role Summary: Lead the operation, enhancement, and transformation of enterprise Citrix and cloud‑based VDI services. Own daily performance, reliability, and security of the VDI landscape, while driving upgrades, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across a multi‑cloud environment.
Expactations: Deliver high‑availability VDI solutions that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements. Champion automation, incident management, and service improvement. Act as the principal technical advisor to architecture, service delivery, and vendor teams, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Citrix XenDesktop, XenServer, Citrix Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop, and associated infrastructure.
- Manage incident, request, and change workflows through ServiceNow.
- Plan, execute, and support VDI projects, migrations, and enhancements, including upgrades and complex service changes.
- Maintain monitoring, reporting, and documentation to track performance and compliance.
- Ensure compliance, security, and resilience across the VDI estate; support disaster recovery, backups, and continuity plans.
- Liaise with vendors and third‑party service providers.
Required Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop, XenServer, Citrix Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Strong background in Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, FSLogix, NetScaler.
- Experience with VMware/Hyper‑V, storage, networking, and security concepts.
- PowerShell scripting and automation proficiency.
- Proven ability to deliver upgrades and complex service changes.
- ITIL experience; familiarity with ServiceNow.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Citrix Certified Professional – Virtual Delivery Environment (CITRIX VDE) or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware, or Microsoft ITIL are advantageous.
