Glazing Senior Project Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead and coordinate glazing projects on high‑rise buildings, ensuring completion on schedule, within budget, and to design, safety, and code requirements. Manage all project phases from pre‑construction through closeout, collaborating with architects, engineers, fabricators, and contractors.
**Expactations**
- Deliver projects on agreed dates and budgets while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Provide transparent status reporting and proactive problem solving to stakeholders.
- Foster strong client, contractor, and supplier relationships that enhance project outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer curtain‑wall projects from budgeting‑and‑scheduling to procurement, shop drawings, construction, turnover, and closeout.
- Coordinate shop‑drawing and submittal processes; attend design meetings with architects, engineers, drafters, and factory partners.
- Acquire and interpret structural drawings and trade interface details from the general contractor; maintain accurate as‑built records.
- Develop and manage schedules of values and project timelines; support monthly requisitions, change orders, and accounting tasks.
- Oversee material release for fabrication, aligning purchase orders with project milestones.
- Provide design managers with corrective sketches for non‑compliant conditions and interface issues.
- Facilitate construction permits, safety, insurance, and code compliance for all activities.
- Supervise on‑site execution through subordinate managers and supervisors, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
**Required Skills**
- Project management in glazing/curtain‑wall construction.
- Strong understanding of design coordination, shop drawing workflows, and vendor procurement.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Knowledge of industry standards (MS, code, safety) and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making competence.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- General construction industry knowledge (preferred).
- Curtain‑wall industry experience or certification (preferred).
