**Job Title**
AIV Engineer – Computer Vision & GNC
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and operate a state‑of‑the‑art laboratory for computer vision (CV) algorithm validation and guidance‑navigation‑control (GNC) hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing. Lead test planning, integration, and data management, ensuring traceable, reproducible results while collaborating closely with CV, GNC, and systems teams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver a scalable, modular test lab that meets safety & quality standards.
- Plan and execute rigorous test campaigns for CV and GNC systems.
- Provide robust documentation, version control, and data pipelines.
- Interface with project managers, product owners, and external partners.
- Attend reviews, support client/partner interactions, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Maintain expertise in relevant technologies and adhere to European work‑eligibility and security clearance requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Lab Design & Infrastructure** – Define hardware, software, and simulation requirements; set up cameras, motion platforms, robotics, GNSS simulators, and safety controls.
2. **Test Planning & Execution** – Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, KPIs for CV algorithms (object detection, tracking) and GNC systems; conduct processor‑in‑the‑loop (PIL) and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) campaigns.
3. **Integration & Data Management** – Oversee data acquisition, annotation, and analysis pipelines; ensure reproducibility and traceability.
4. **Documentation** – Produce detailed testing reports, version control, and configuration management.
5. **Stakeholder Collaboration** – Coordinate with Systems, CV, and GNC teams; align lab capabilities with program needs.
6. **Partner Interaction** – Attend reviews, support partner/client meetings, and share knowledge across global teams.
**Required Skills**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, GNC, or related discipline.
- ≥5 years experience validating robotics or CV algorithms.
- Proven ability to design and run laboratory experiments.
- Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and proactive self‑management.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Eligibility to work in the EU and to obtain French security clearance.
**Desirable / Complementary Skills**
- Space‑sector experience.
- Development on robotics test platforms.
- ROS knowledge; scripting languages (Python, C++).
- Camera calibration, image acquisition, robotic joint calibration, sensor–actuator synchronization.
- Motion tracking, ground‑truth acquisition, motion planning, trajectory generation.
- Familiarity with simulation environments (Gazebo, IsaacSim, etc.).
- Real‑time systems and HIL experience.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- EU work eligibility.
- French security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
