**Job Title**
Senior OpenShift Architect
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and govern Red Hat OpenShift 4.x platforms across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments. Provide technical leadership to ensure enterprise‑grade availability, performance, and security, while driving modernization initiatives with cloud‑native and containerization best practices.
**Expectations**
- Lead end‑to‑end OpenShift architecture and deployment for large, complex organizations.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, and emerging cloud technologies.
- Collaborate across engineering, DevOps, cloud, cybersecurity, and application squads to align OpenShift solutions with business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement OpenShift 4.x clusters on AWS ROSA, Azure, and GCP.
- Design and enforce operational governance, including operators, machine sets, and cluster operators.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD).
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and automation frameworks.
- Script automation with Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell.
- Oversee observability stack (Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic) and security monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks and best practices.
- Drive adoption of AI integration where applicable.
- Mentor teams on OpenShift and Kubernetes administration.
**Required Skills**
- 12+ years in AWS, Linux/DevOps roles.
- 6+ years designing and administering Kubernetes/OpenShift environments (incl. AWS ROSA).
- Hands‑on experience with OpenShift 4.x: operators, machine sets, cluster operators, API objects, CRDs.
- Hybrid cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform), scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
- CI/CD pipeline design (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, TCP/IP, DNS, ingress, load balancers, networking.
- Container orchestration, observability tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic).
- Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
- Preferred: AI integration knowledge.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Red Hat Certified Architect – OpenShift (RHCA‑OC4) or equivalent.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent cloud certification.
