Job Description
Job Title: General Manager – Industrial Site Role Summary: Senior operational leader responsible for end‑to‑end P&L, production, logistics, and local support functions (HR, finance, billing) at an industrial plant in Liège. Drives performance, margin optimization, and customer service excellence. Leads a multidisciplinary workforce across shifts and spearheads commercial negotiations and client retention. Expectations: - Deliver profitable operations with strict adherence to KPI targets. - Ensure superior customer service and maintain existing client relationships. - Lead contract pricing negotiations and sustain high margin. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. - Maintain safe, compliant, and socially responsible working environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage site P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. - Oversee production planning, scheduling, quality control, and logistics. - Supervise and develop functional teams in HR, finance, billing, and sales. - Negotiate tariff increases with key customers. - Track and improve service quality metrics; implement corrective actions. - Lead capital improvement and process optimization projects. - Report performance to senior management and advise on strategic decisions. Required Skills: - Proven P&L ownership in a manufacturing setting. - Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building across multiple shifts. - Excellent analytical skills; KPI‑driven decision maker. - Experience in customer account management and pricing negotiations. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems. - Effective communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation. - Proficiency in French; working knowledge of English. Required Education & Certifications: - Engineering or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. - Minimum 7–10 years of progressive industrial management experience, including plant director or senior GM role. ---
