Job Description
**Job Title:** Logistics Operations Manager **Role Summary:** Lead end-to-end logistics operations for a newly established warehouse in Nivelles, driving transformation, optimization, and performance in an environment of growth and high seasonality. Manage a team of ~50 permanent staff (up to 70 with seasonal hires), ensure seamless inbound/outbound flows, optimize processes in an automated warehouse, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to achieve KPI targets. **Expectations:** - Deliver a structured, high‑performance logistics operation within a strategic transformation project. - Maintain operational excellence under fluctuating demand while meeting quality, cost, and service targets. - Demonstrate strong leadership, clear communication, and decisive action across all levels. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee inbound, storage, picking, packing, outbound, and external transport activities. - Ensure inventory accuracy and flux reliability using SAP/WMS systems. - Analyze and continuously improve KPI metrics (productivity, quality, service, cost). - Redesign and optimize warehouse processes, leveraging automation (robots, new flow designs). - Structure the logistics team organization, hiring, training, and performance management. - Partner with Production, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Customer Service to align operations. - Manage relationships and agreements with external carriers. - Address customer complaints related to logistics and drive resolution. - Report directly to the Director of Operations on performance and strategic initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years of warehouse/logistics management experience, preferably in a large organization. - Proven team‑leadership ability for mid‑to‑large teams. - Strong project management and continuous improvement expertise. - Proficiency in SAP and WMS systems. - Excellent analytical mindset with KPI‑driven decision making. - Assertive leadership and ability to balance strategic vision with on‑the‑ground execution. - Fluent in French; professional proficiency in Dutch and/or English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, Six Sigma, APICS CPIM) are a plus.
