Job title: ServiceNow Architect
Role Summary:
Architect and lead the design, implementation, and governance of end-to-end ServiceNow platform solutions for large‑scale, global deployments. Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical blueprints, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and enterprise integration standards.
Expactations:
- Deliver comprehensive High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs for complex, multi‑instance ServiceNow implementations.
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority, providing architectural guidance, risk assessment, and escalated support.
- Mentor and coach solution architects, developers, and implementation teams to uphold technical excellence.
- Engage stakeholders, including executive leadership, to communicate architecture roadmaps and strategic decisions.
- Support sales/pre‑sales activities, including scoping and preparing statement‑of‑work documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve platform architecture, ensuring scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Lead design and development of HLDs/LLDs across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, SecOps).
- Establish and enforce technical governance (Design Authority Board, best‑practice standards).
- Conduct technical risk assessments and ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Design secure integration patterns (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub) and oversee data model governance (CMDB, CSDM).
- Act as primary escalation point for complex architectural, performance, and security issues.
- Present technical strategies and roadmap to diverse audiences, including C‑suite and technical teams.
- Facilitate pre‑sales activities, such as scoping, estimate compilation, and SOW generation.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow core platform and major application suites.
- Advanced knowledge of platform security (ACLs, encryption), JavaScript/GlideScript, scripting, and data modeling.
- Proficiency with Flow Designer, NOW Experience, Service Portal, ATF, Integration Hub, NowAssist, NowCreate.
- Experience designing multi‑instance, global, highly integrated environments.
- Strong governance, risk management, and best‑practice enforcement abilities.
- Ability to articulate architecture to executive and technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Dutch (preferred); additional European language a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Active ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
- 8+ years of ServiceNow solution design, development, and implementation experience, with 3–5+ years as Platform/Enterprise Architect.
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or multiple Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications (ITSM, HRSD, ITOM) preferred.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and ITIL processes appreciated.
