Job title: Graduate Intern, Data Scientist (Summer 2026) Role Summary: Graduate‑level data science internship focused on developing predictive models and analytics solutions to enhance airline operations and customer experience. Expectations: - Complete a 16‑week internship from May 11 to August 7, 2026, onsite in Atlanta, GA. - Demonstrate solid machine‑learning, statistical, and data‑storytelling skills. - Communicate findings effectively to non‑technical stakeholders. - Adhere to safety, security, and diversity standards. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with senior data scientists on advanced analytics projects. - Collect, cleanse, and query operational data using SQL in relational databases. - Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical tests. - Build, validate, and iterate machine‑learning models in Python (Scikit‑Learn), R, SAS, or equivalent. - Visualize and present insights to business partners in a clear, actionable format. - Contribute to model deployment and documentation in a production environment. Required Skills: - Proficiency in SQL and relational database querying. - Strong foundation in machine‑learning algorithms and model evaluation. - Programming experience in Python (pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑Learn) and/or R; knowledge of SAS acceptable. - Ability to translate complex data findings into concise, business‑relevant narratives. - Excellent written and verbal communication; effective teamwork in a fast‑paced setting.
