Job Title: Structural Engineer Role Summary Design, review, and coordinate reinforced concrete and steel structural solutions for large‑scale nuclear construction projects, primarily Hinkley Point C with potential future work at Sizewell. Utilize advanced digital construction methods and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, compliant designs. Expectations - Deliver high‑quality, Eurocode‑compliant designs for reinforced concrete and steel elements. - Manage engineering changes, resolve field requests, and address non‑conformance issues. - Provide technical support and inspections on site; liaise with contractors and international design teams. - Operate within a dynamic environment demanding strong communication and teamwork. - Obtain required security clearance and commit to on‑site presence in Bristol and periodic visits to the Hinkley site. Key Responsibilities - Modify and detail reinforced concrete and steel designs per Eurocode standards. - Check and synchronize 3D BIM and 2D CAD drawings with design teams. - Coordinate engineering changes, field requests, and non‑conformance resolutions. - Liaise with site teams, contractors, and international back‑office engineers. - Conduct site inspections and technical reviews. Required Skills - Proficiency in structural design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, CSi, or equivalent). - Strong knowledge of Eurocodes for reinforced concrete and steel. - Experience in reviewing and coordinating BIM and CAD outputs. - Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving abilities in a multidisciplinary setting. - Ability to interpret and apply design review and change control processes. Required Education & Certifications - Graduate degree in Civil, Structural, or Infrastructure Engineering. - Minimum 2 years of UK-based experience in reinforced concrete and steel design (experience in nuclear or heavy industry projects is preferred). - Professional registration (e.g., RCS, FE, or SOPE) is an asset.

Job Description
Job Title: Project Engineer Role Summary: Early‑stage engineer for a 400/132 kV substation project, initially leading heavy civils and package coordination, progressing to full substation project engineering within a major infrastructure scheme. Expectations: • Deliver from day‑one with senior‑level responsibility. • Coordinate 2–3 packages simultaneously, maintaining programme integrity. • Ensure technical compliance, safety and quality in a high‑voltage environment. • Provide depth in earthing and LV systems, acting as a specialist support to the broader team. • Demonstrate leadership akin to an Assistant Project Manager, with potential for permanent placement. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, monitor and report on multiple work packages during heavy civils. • Maintain overall schedule, risk register and cost control. • Oversee technical design, earthing, LV cabling and civil integration into the substation layout. • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. • Conduct quality inspections, safety briefings and compliance audits. • Facilitate knowledge transfer to junior staff and the wider project team. Required Skills: • Proven experience on 400/132 kV substation projects and National Grid schemes. • Strong civil engineering understanding within HV contexts. • Project coordination, scheduling and risk management. • Technical expertise in substation earthing, LV systems and civil interfacing. • Clear communication, problem‑solving and team‑leadership abilities. Required Education & Certifications: • BSc/Engineering degree or equivalent. • Earthing Control Person (ECP) and Earthing Application Person (EAP) licences required. • LV Application Person (LVAP). • Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent) appreciated.
