Job Description
**Job Title:** Finance Business Partner (Sales) **Role Summary:** Partner with sales, marketing and commercial leadership to provide financial insight, analysis, and strategic guidance. Drive performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and margin optimisation for a consumer‑focused SME on a 9‑month maternity cover (potentially permanent). **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, timely financial analysis and recommendations to senior management. - Provide mentorship on financial matters to commercial teams. - Maintain availability to start within 1 month (or less). - Work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and interfacing with Sales, Marketing and Commercial Directors. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and analyse weekly flash trading and KPI reports for the Executive Management Team. - Produce detailed financial analyses for commercial deals, investment appraisals and business cases. - Own budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑range strategic planning. - Conduct margin and product‑category analysis, identifying trends and optimisation opportunities. - Deliver best‑in‑class reporting, insight and financial mentorship to commercial functions. **Required Skills:** - Strong commercial finance and business‑partnering experience (preferably consumer/retail). - Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with data‑analysis tools. - Excellent communication and presentation abilities. - Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations. - High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA). - Relevant finance or accounting degree preferred.
