Job Description: **Job Title:** Azure Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure security controls to protect cloud workloads, ensure compliance, and enable secure-by‑design architecture for a modern, cloud‑first environment. **Expectations:** - Own Azure security posture across multiple teams and environments. - Deliver actionable insights to mitigate risks and strengthen defenses. - Operate autonomously, prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced setting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Configure, monitor, and optimize Azure Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault, Entra ID Identity Protection, and related security services. - Investigate alerts, threats, and vulnerabilities; drive incident response and root‑cause analysis. - Conduct security configuration reviews, hardening, and architecture improvements. - Author and maintain security policies, runbooks, and documentation. - Design IAM solutions: RBAC, privileged access, Zero Trust, conditional access. - Perform risk assessments, produce mitigation recommendations, and track remediation. - Partner with DevOps/Cloud teams to embed security automation and guardrails in CI/CD pipelines. **Required Skills:** - 6+ years of Azure security engineering experience. - In‑depth knowledge of Azure security tooling, cloud networking, IAM, and governance. - Expertise with SIEM/SOAR, especially Microsoft Sentinel (KQL). - Strong grasp of compliance frameworks: SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks. - Self‑driven, proactive, excellent communication and documentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ‑500) preferred; SC‑200 or SC‑300 also acceptable. ---
